Sustainability Sector Program

The Sectoral Sustainability Program from (Brazilian Coatings Manufacturers Association) is a pioneering initiative in the global paint industry, with the aim of guiding and boosting the process of continuous improvement of companies, in addition to constituting an important tool for sectoral transparency on topics of Corporate Governance and Leadership, Human Capital, Social Capital and Environment.

The program encompasses several actions – including the program to comply with the National Solid Waste Policy – and has as one of its central points the Sustainability Assessment System, which involves 44 indicators, distributed in 17 subthemes and 4 themes, all related to the 12 UN Sustainable Development Goals most relevant to the paint sector in Brazil. Its objective is to guide and drive the process of continuous improvement, stimulating development of sectoral actions and the creation of innovative solutions by companies. It is also an important transparency tool to show society the current stage of the sector and its evolution.
