UNEP DTU Partnership  is a leading international research and advisory institution on energy, climate and sustainable development. During the implementation of the project, UDP will provide guidance and technical support to national counterparts on matters related to mitigation aspects. In particular, DTU assists in providing methodologies and guidelines to calculate GHG emissions related to the tourism activities and in  developing methodologies and guidelines for private stakeholders in order to develop their business cases and/or standard best practices for priority mitigation actions. 

WRAP  is a registered charity working with businesses, individuals and communities to achieve a circular economy through helping them reduce waste, develop sustainable products and use resources in an efficient way. WRAP works closely with UNEP and UNEP-DTU as well as the in-country implementation partners to determine the scope of the selected value chains - accommodation, food & beverage and MICE – and to measure and evaluate the hotspots arising within those value chains.  This data strongly contributes to the development of the low carbon strategies for each region, enabling the most impactful activities to be addressed. WRAP also provides access to tools and guidance for mitigation activities where these have already been developed and tested in other contexts.  

The Travel Foundation is a charity that works in partnership with businesses and governments to make tourism bring greater benefits for local people and the environment. The Travel Foundation is the main implementing partner for Saint Lucia and Mauritius building upon its experience in this countries to engage public and private stakeholders. The Travel Foundation facilitates, organizes and conducts selected value chain mapping, training workshops and also communicates and disseminates project results. 

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Dominican Republic is responsible for the setting of standards for the conservation, protection, enhancement and restoration of the environment and natural resources. Its objective is to promote social welfare and preservation of environmental quality. The Ministry of Environmental and Natural Resources is the lead executing, coordinating agency in the Dominican Republic to oversee the smooth implementation of the project. It will coordinate with relevant government agencies and the private sector for full support and cooperation; institutionalize the policies emanating from the project, and advocate for the adoption of policies and programs by the government and private sector.

 The Department of Tourism of Philippines is the primary planning, programming, coordinating, implementing and regulatory government agency in the development and promotion of tourism industry. The Department of Tourism will be the lead executing, coordinating agency in the Philippines to oversee the smooth implementation of the project, coordinate with relevant government agencies and the private sector for full support and cooperation; institutionalize the policies emanating from the project, and advocate for the adoption of policies and program by the government and private sector.

 The Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Inc.  promotes sustainable consumption and production as an approach in achieving a clean, green and healthy environment and to work with government and other interested groups in developing policies and programs relating to the cleaning, improvement, rehabilitation, and development of the environment for sustainable development. PCEPSDI is the technical service provider for relevant policy review and studies for SCP and the tourism industry in the Philippines. 

The Department of Tourism, Information and Broadcasting of Saint Lucia is the primary planning, programming, coordinating, implementing and regulatory government agency in the development and promotion of tourism industry. Its aim is to encourage the delivery of quality, authentic and distinctive destination experiences and creative products and services, with a clear focus on the needs of residents, visitors and the environment. 

The Ministry of Tourism of Mauritius is responsible for development of the legal and operational framework to plan, monitor and regulate tourism activities in line with the defined tourism strategies and policies. It provides support, incentives and assistance to approved tourism projects, and maintains and promotes Mauritius as an attractive and desirable tourist destination. It will oversee national implementation of project activities and coordinate the inputs and participation of other government agencies and the tourism private sector.  

The Association of Hotels Owners and Condos Playa Dorada Inc. is a non-governmental, non-profit institution that manages, conserves, maintains and promotes the common areas and services of the Resort Playa Dorada. Its members comprise tourism value chain businesses including hotels, condos, shopping centers and golf clubs. The Association operates through a Sustainable Production Agreement with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic (SEMARENA). The association is collaborating with the Dominican Ministry to ensure the engagement of its members and partners in all the project activities.
