Sustainable Public Procurement Programme
Members
Members
The One Planet Sustainable Public Procurement programme is currently co-led by ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability and the Governments of China (Environmental Development Centre of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China).
A Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee (MAC), consisting of governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, private sector businesses, intergovernmental organizations, as well as research and technical institutions and UN agencies, is supporting the Co-Leads in their efforts to mainstream sustainable public procurement.
Governing structure
The programmes Coordination Desk - responsible for the day-to-day coordination activities of the network - is formed by the staff provided by the Co-Leads and acts as the interface between programme actors and the 10YFP/One Planet network Secretariat, which is hosted by the Economy Division of the UN Environment in Paris. The One Planet network Secretariat is responsible for the overall coordination of the network, facilitates collaboration among the 6 programmes, administrates the One Planet Multi-Partner Trust Fund for SDG 12 and reports to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) via the 10YFP Board on behalf of all 6 programmes. The 10YFP Board is composed of ten country-representatives, two members per UN regional group. They play a role to ensure contact and coordination with the Board and the Secretariat for 10YFP as well as support the programmes of the One Planet network in identifying country specific needs and advancing the implementation of SCP at the national level.
